Vitamyn Sea respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy notice will inform you how we collect and process personal data and tell you about your privacy rights.

It is important that you read this privacy notice together with any other privacy notice or fair processing notice we may provide on specific occasions when we are collecting or processing personal data about you so that you are fully aware of how and why we are using your data. This privacy notice supplements the other notices and is not intended to override them.

We are the controller of your data and are responsible for it.

The security of your personal information is critically important to us.

  • We will ensure that personal data is kept secure against unauthorised or unlawful loss or disclosure

  • We don’t keep personal information for longer than is necessary

  • We ensure that all staff follow good data protection practice

This personal information must be handled properly under the Data Protection Act 1998 (‘the DPA’) and the General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (‘the GDPR’).  This legislation regulates the way that we handle personal data that we collect in the course of carrying out our work and gives certain rights to people whose personal data we may hold.
 

Personal data means any recorded information held by us and from which an individual can be identified, including names, addresses, telephone numbers and other personal details. This information is gathered in a variety of ways including website forms, pre-registration and booking forms.

Your personal information will only be used as far as is reasonably necessary.  It will not be disclosed to third parties without your explicit consent or unless we are required to do so by law.

You have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (‘ICO’), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues. The ICO’s website can be viewed at www.ico.org.uk. We would, however, appreciate the chance to deal with your concerns before you approach the ICO, so please always contact us in the first instance.

If we provide links to third-party websites, plug-ins and applications, during our relationship with you, that is not a representation that we control such third-party resources and we are not responsible for their privacy statements. Clicking on those links or enabling those connections may allow third parties to collect or share data about you. We encourage you to read the privacy notice of every website you visit.

 

Where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (for example, to provide you with goods or services). In such a case, we may have to cancel a product or service you have with us but we will notify you if this is the case at the time. We accept no liability under contract if it cannot be performed due to your withholding of data from us.
